How to properly solder links on a thru-hole PC board?
by anonymous Mar 27 2008

The tutorial on this website on soldering 101 is the best I’ve seen on the web (super-excellent), but it doesn’t describe how to make the links between components. I would like to know what the best way to create links between components on a thru-hole PC board?

If you’re talking about the typical RadioShack proto boards that just have a grid of holes, I usually just glob enough solder to form a bridge between neighboring holes. Then for larger jumps, I use jumper wires to make the connections.

There are probably better ways out there… anyone have any?
