VoS Sequencer, cable connection question
by Peter (unregistered) Jul 07 2008

Am I reading the diagram correctly? Am I making six connections to ring 1 on Pot R22?

Namely from:

1. ring 1 on Pot R21
2. Reset jack
3. Power LED
4. J6 on the board
5. Step 1 LED
6. ring 1 on Pot R27

Just want to make sure before I start trying to make everything fit!

(Also, I apologize for the rookie terms (i.e. “ring 1”))

Thanks!

I get what you mean, I think the holes are called solder lugs officially…

But anyway, all those wires are “ground” , so they all need to connect to each other, but it doesn’t matter where. they’re shown on the drawing that way just out of drawing convenience, but you could just have one connect at Pot R22 and the others all at the ground pin of the Power LED. Every point on the wire is exactly the same.

Thanks for the speedy reply! One other quick connection question for you:

J16 on the board connects (according to the diagram) to both the Clock I/O jack and the Clock On/Off switch, with two wires entering the left-hand socket.

I cannot fit two wires into that socket—is there an alternate way of making the connection?

Thanks again!!

What diagram are you looking at? Can you link to it? I thought we recently fixed that… check out this one
