About: Ceramic disc capacitors are non-polarized (doesn't matter which direction they are installed), and have very low internal impedance. This makes them excellent as noise shunts when placed across power and ground close to components.

As stated above, this particular value is commonly used with crystals to provide a clock source to micro-controllers, and less as a filter.

It can withstand 2.5 times its nominal voltage for 1 second and has an operating range between 10 and 85 degrees C.
